Ridiculous. Anyone that complies deserves what a handful those people will end up being. I don't even mention to families that I have sm. Its absolutely none of their business. Now if they decide to snoop and be nosey and Google me, that's a different thing. But running a background check is enough. They need to know I'm not a criminal.
My social life is separate from my job. If they were to even ask for my Fb info I'd tell them to look for other candidates. I've been nannying for 4 years and working with children in school settings for over 10. The only time my fb was ever mentioned was my last family wanted to make sure I wouldn't post the kids on my page without permission. My pictures from vacations. when I go out or have celebrations, thoughts and timeline is NONE of their business.
