Why are you offended by OP's title? I'm a firm believer in continuing education for both parents and nannies. In fact it's essential in order to do right by the children.
No one knows everything there is to know in this field.
I'm actually a nanny who posted that, and I did so because this forum would go berserk if an MB posted an article and titled her post "Nannies, you could learn from this." It's smug and condescending. OP could have easily titled her post "great article about why nannies quit." No one wants to be told how to do their job by someone who has never done it, but we can learn from each other by offering our perspective.

There's nothing condescending about the title. Can mbs or dbs not learn from the article? How many posts do we see here all the time with people wondering why there has been a change with the relationship or why the turn over is high in their home? If it's not learning material for you, great. But for many nannies that deal with this and can't actually say it, their employers can take away from this and "learn". The only reason to see something as condescending is because you're actually already in a place to be offended. Whether you're a nanny or mb, seeing things through those kind of eyes is not healthy.

You sound naive. Or not a nanny.
