sounds like you're the one trying to pull something.

If you want to stick it too them, keep working for a month and get your month notice pay. BFD.

Hold them to the contract and DO NOT SIGN. Unemployment is your right.

They're shysters. They'll have you sign that, and then not pay out anything. Be careful...

Don't do it. Sounds to me that maybe they were not completely paying on the books. Unemployment insurance is your right. The parent who lost their job will get it, why shouldn't you?

Don't get into a back and forth with them until you have a letter of recommendation.

Take them to Small Claims Court if they don't honor contract.

They really couldn't afford to give you a week or two notice?

The state psus unemployment. The employer pays into UE insurance to s. If you have a contract that says you get a month's notice then you should be paid for the month. You will not be able to draw unememployment until end of notice period.

You betcha. Draft a letter of reference and send it to them asking them to sign. When you draft your own you have at least a 50% shot of it saying exactly what you want it to say.

I was let go unexpectedly because one of the parents got let go. Am I able to apply for unemployment since I was let go without any fault?
