So for a full-time nanny making say $20 / hour, that's an annual salary of $40,000. 15% of that is $6000.
How the heck can anyone justify paying that when they can just go to care.com with a $45 premium membership and find candidates that way? Honest question.
Do they figure if you're well-off enough to hire a nanny you dont' really care about another $5000 or $6000??
Anyone???

There's a reason why SO many opportunity hunters with zero experience in early childhood development open shop as a nanny agency. If you have good marketing skills, you'll make a fortune. Most of them say that becoming a mommy or daddy magically makes them qualified. So sad how many desperate parents believe that.

I've contacted Nanny Poppinz. I was a little surprised about a couple of the provisions in the contract. In particular, they will only replace 1 nanny. Not that I expect to run off lots of nannies, but it is expensive - one month salary - so I would think they would help us find another nanny if 2 quit for whatever reason. Maybe this is common, dunno.
So I have just reached out to Metro Parent Relief, who has a handful of good reviews online, and a couple good mentions on this forum.
Any suggestions? Or thoughts on whether the terms in Nanny Poppinz' contract are reasonable (for this crazy place).
What time frame do they give you the (only) one replacement?
