You can print out the payslip every week or 2 weeks. It gives a breakdown of exactly what you need to send to the IRS, so you'll be fine.

You need a federal and state EIN, so apply for those asap. Also, look into unemployment and worker's comp insurance.

Hello! We recently started employing a nanny and have no clue how to navigate federal/state nanny tax payments/submissions. We are considering using an online nanny payroll/tax service to make our life easier. Does anyone have recommendations? I started looking at www.care.com's Home Pay service. It seems enticing b/c of the "no worry, no work" guarantee, but expensive. Has anyone used this service or another service that you are happy with? We have figured out how much to pay her withholding the proper taxes, but will need to pay the quarterly fed/state tax soon.
