I live about an hour from my employers (in good weather) and am nowhere close to a metro. They weren't very happy with me leaving early on Friday (even though both parents were telecommuting as their offices told them to stay home) and I'm a bit nervous about how/when to discuss Monday...we've always had a lax sort of attitude about snow days over the past 6 years (I probably can't make it in about 2-3 times a year due to how far they are from my house) and it's never been a problem but I seem to be rubbing my MB wrong over the last few months. Just trying to keep things smooth until I leave next year.
Why would you live an hour from your employers? For a nanny job? Absurd. Also, roads are clear, you can go in. Buck up.
She lives where she can afford to live, Mrs. Astorbilt! Secondary roads where I live have yet to be plowed and, apparently, this is true of many, if not most, secondary streets. So, Mr know-it-all, you do not know as much as you think you know.

Judgmental much?
And no, not all roads are clear.
