Do a google search, there are tons in the first 2-3 pages. Care, sitterservice, nannies4hire, tidyforms and a bunch of others all have nanny contracts available, but all of them need to be tweaked to fit your position.

How old are the children, and how long have they been in daycare? Pulling them out of daycare to stay home with a nanny all day is a huge change, and unless you have a fantastic nanny, this could backfire, and then you'd be stuck with no daycare slots anymore.

Nanny here. Many nannies have a basic contract that they are willing to send out to a potential employer as a base, or there are at least 5 decent samples available online through a google search. The contract needs to cover the basics, but the more thought you put into it, the better. I've had contracts which were only 1-2 pages, but I've also had a contract which was 15 pages. The longer contracts cover more things which could come up, and there's less question about how the nanny should handle things.

I wrote my own, though I called it an "Agreement" and used bullet points rather than a contract format.

Think through sticky issues that are likely to come up (read through this forum for some examples) and try to address those as well as listing the basics (hours, pay, overtime, vacation, holidays).

Some things to think about: bad weather, coming home late, driving the child, scheduling vacation days, sick days, food, any house rules you might want to include.

You provide the contract, send it to the nanny, you two edit it as you both see fit.

I find that going theough agencies is the easiest way to find a nanny. They will often provide a sample contract that you can adjust for your needs

You need to draft one and include all the major details - pay, vacation, holidays, sick leave, etc. You can probably find one through a search or use legal zoom.
