I paid the full week - reasoning was thinking ahead to next year rather than what she'd already done. We really want to keep her. Also a bargain compared to agency fees

We gave our nanny 1/2 a week's salary as a bonus even though she had been a part-time babysitter (helped me out during my maternity leave) for us for about a month before the year's end. Divide her week's salary into fourths. Give her one fourth, since she's worked one fourth of the year. That would be totally reasonable.
