That's much more reasonable than a share for three newborn to 2 year olds.

The amounts being quoted are for a triple share, which is a ton more work. Normal shares are lower.

The practical issues here would probably mean that the nanny can only doing outings within very near walking distance. Not sure it's ideal - your kid will get more fresh air in a daycare where they're set up with the bus-style strollers.
But if you want to do this, check with your local neighborhood listserves. Shares in my area are significantly less than what's cited here.

If there are three kids because it's twins and another child, the other child does a normal share, the twins have their own nanny.

There is no real financial incentive to add a third family because any nanny qualified enough to handle it won't do it for less than $30/hr anyway, but you might find a qualified nanny for a two baby share for $20/hr to start, so it still is $10/hr per family. Minimum. Three babies from three different families is hard, and if I remember correctly, the only way you get around having a second adult caring for 3+ infants is if they are all in the same family.
