Definitely give her another week of vacation or sick days, her choice (nannies get sick A LOT from your children). Also up her pay by 1$ an hour and if you're feeling extra generous, offer her partial health care reimbursement.

We have always given a $1/hr raise on the year anniversary. We have also added (over time) partial healthcare premium reimbursement, upped that to full premium reimbursement, and added a few extra vacation days. (For a nanny that was with us for more than 3 years - so these things were given over that tenure.)

Nanny will be with family coming up on a year. Nanny is legal, American born, English speaking only, had about 10 years experience working at preschools. Currently nanny is making 15$ per hour, 2 weeks paid vacation and 3 sick personal days, major federal holidays off. What would be appropriate to offer going into 2nd year? Thanks in advance
