It depends on how dumb OP wants to be.

It depends on the nanny. Some prefer to have it earlier, some prefer to have it on the last day before Christmas.

If depends on the family. Some want the nanny to have it earlier to use for gifts, others don't want the nanny to feel like she has to reciprocate so give it just before Christmas.

Talk to your nanny, OP.

OP here, and I have been following the current threads about the bonus. It seems there are a few threads that are both about what / how much to give.

I know what I'm planning on giving, but I'm not sure when is the best time to give it. I had heard earlier is better in case they want to spend on gifts for others.

Anyway, I very much appreciated the answer that the first person gave, and just checked this AM to see if any others came in.

I hadn't seen a question completely deleted before and was curious what might have happened. I'm not trying to spam the forum - just trying to learn more about how it works!

If questions were all deleted based on duplicates, there wouldn't be very many threads on any of these forums

Thanks for your response, and have a great day!

Didn't you notice we already have a thread with the exact same subject? Your not liking the responses is not cause to start an identical thread. Are you new on this site? Please don't do that again or it gets deleted for obvious reasons. Thank you.

I posted yesterday asking when is a good time to give a holiday bonus to our nanny. 1 person answered last night, and I checked this morning and the question had disappeared. Has anyone ever seen that happen?

Was the question too boring? Not controversial enough?
