I think the same thing applies to the reference letter as well.
Just try to be a little patient.
The thing where the Father contacted you on the Nanny website is kinda weird however. Is it the same website that they found you on? Perhaps only the Mother has your phone no.# or maybe they lost one of the phones, etc. so the Dad just figured it would be easier to just message you via the website, etc.
Overall, I just think this family has A LOT going on + it really has nothing to do w/you at all. They may also be a little scatterbrained too on top of that which is to be expected perhaps.
They must still like you if they asked you to babysit in 10 days, right??
That is a very weak excuse. You can never be to busy to spare 15 seconds for a text (to someone important, of course not every text requires a reply immediately or even at all.)
I have seen these "I'm so busy" mothers and their kids watch iPad all day. They aren't busy, just lazy.

I told the mom can she give me references letter or be my references also can I take her daughter to the park with my son on the weekend (free of charge). She said no problem just give her a call. Two days after that I texted her telling about the playdate and also informed her, her daughter belonging (spare clothes and pants) are still in my car. NO REPLY. So I called and left voice message. NO REPLY FROM HER.
I almost gave up trying but thinking of the girl who was so exited when her mom told her, she can go to the park with my son. On Saturday morning I called and texted her again STILL NO REPLY.
Fine! Whatever!
Today the girl dad email me through babysitting website and asking if I'm available to watch her daughter on Nov 9. I'm wondering why don't they just call me? I'm sure they still have my number because we had a group charts before. Or do you guys think they deleted my number from their contact list?
Anyway should I accept this job? I really miss that girl. She have mild autism but she is funny and my son love to have small sister to spend time together. But I don't like her parents for:-
1. Not giving me the reference letter
2. Not even bother to return my call or my text message
Thank you (pls ignore all the grammar etc) I have 12 months old baby with me now.
