I totally agree if I worked Monday's it would be a little much- but I don't work Monday, and in the next year only Christmas and New Year's fall on one of my regular work days. Anonymous wrote:Ok, I just started a position this week. I had told them in the interview I needed to have guaranteed hours and they said they understood. The mom said it made sense, that I need to live off what I make. Great! I thought it was covered. Now I'm wondering if I should have been more specific before starting...it looks like the other nanny who works for them (I do 3 days for 10 hrs each day, and she does 2 days) wasn't paid for Labor Day. I'm wondering now if I should mention it specifically when it comes up, or if I should ask sooner so it's not awkward...I don't know. I know I should have talked about it before starting, but they seemed totally cool with it so I didn't think it would be a problem. What would you all do?
