What "fixed rate" do you pay, is the question...

A rate that legally covers OT on weeks we are at 45.

Cheap.

I see your crystal ball is out of comission.

Not the PP but you could pay$712.50 per week if you did $15 an hour for 40 hours and $22.50 an hour for the OT five hours, that's what you get.

Also, I'm the poster with a good live in on other strings here, but even if my kids are asleep, my nanny is on duty - she doesn't go to her room (far from kids) and go to bed - she stays on the main floor so she can hear them and be available should they wake up or whatever. When I get home, she is off duty.

Live ins still have set hrs. Just because she is there doesn't mean you can use her at your pleasure. If both nanny and you decide that a date night is ok, you pay her additional pay from her normal weekly pay.

By the hour.
If you go out while your kids are sleeping, and nanny cannot leave the house, then she needs to be paid for that time.

If nanny can't go out, you pay by the hour. She isn't your slave girl.
