I did IVF and was a total lunatic during parts of it too- cried because I couldn't find my coat one day. So she shouldn't take it out on you but she may not have as much control due to the meds causing serious mental issues in some folks

Its more like you are trying to get pregnant but you worry your bloody period will showing her face any second any minutes. So worried until my first cycle ended with miscarriage!

The medicine will make you hungry all the time and to some it will make them "crazy".

Talk to your MB she will listen and MAYBE she can calm down a little.

OP here and thank you. This information about IVF really helps.

So, this is not the nanny's problem and she should not have to put up with her MB's crappy moods. Nobody forced her to have IVF.

Yes true . Now Nanny can give her MB 2 weeks notice right? why stay if she so miserable?

The medications are really crazy making. PMS times a thousand plus the money issues knowing this is costing thousands of dollars and may not even work. It's awful. But seriously, the meds really, truly, mess with your mood and it's easy to tell someone to snap out of it when it's not you.

Oh, shut up! LEARN ENGLISH. No one is judging OP's employer especially not OP. She just needs information on IVF - not a broken English lecture on civility.

Peersonally, I try desperately hard not to inflict my personal problems on anyone else. I would suggest talking with her. You can tell her that uou understand she is having difficulty but taking it out on you and her child is unfair counter productive.

I am not a nanny but had a similar problem in my office and talking with the individual involved helped with the problem. Good luck.

...and so moody and unhappy all the time! She has always been a moody and critical person but now she has gotten so much worse with my charge and me. Nothing I do is good enough now but also nothing my charge does is ever good enough either.

What, if anything, should I do? Does this stop when she becomes pregnant?
