The parents need to be pretty laid back and flexible and the kids need to be on a schedule and like each other (more or less) and the nanny needs to have a way of getting them out and about even if it's just to get coffee and a story. If one kid is older and a solid walker, a double stroller will do. Some have a kick board or scooter that attaches which helps. If the baby is high needs then it's harder for everyone. Get an iPod player to stream some fun music and have fun! Don't let all the lazy, uptight nannies deter you. Some of my best memories are of multi family shares.

First of all you need an experienced nanny willing to take on the challenge. If it were me, I'd look for someone with multiples experience. Second you need to work out the details. With that many littles you might need to provide a nanny car or at least car seats so you are not shuffling those around constantly. Also, what about a triple stroller for outings? There are no cheap triple strollers and they all have their drawbacks. I currently use the Valco Tri Mode Twin with Joey Seat. Great stroller, but heavy and folds up big. Who will host? Does the host realize the extra wear and tear that will happen to toys, house, etc. with three kids. My charges are very sweet, but we have a joke about if things are triplet proof or not.

I agree with this although I might change it to say "this will not work if any set of parents is uptight about anything...." (because things that uptight parents are uptight about do not seem silly to them)
This will not work if any set of parents is uptight about silly things, or if the main aim is to save money.

I can't imagine ANYONE would be happy with that, not the parents, not the nanny, and certainly not a single one of the children. If you tired this for just one day, you'd know.
