I actually don't understand SAHM either - women who chose a different career and then gave it up to stay at home with their kids and clean the house?
Unbelievable.
This must be a joke. I'm a preschool teacher who stays at home now. I respect both sahm and wohm. You sound really dumb.
Not PP but anyone who writes, "You sound really dumb." is, herself, totally clueless. Did you really think that would help your cause, PP?
Many stay at home mom’s are well educated, myself included. For the most part, I think being a nanny is very similar to being a SAHM. In a world where most people don't respect nannying as a career I find your comment really shocking. But I know my self worth doesn’t come from money, the world, or anything else, but. from. God. period.

You said she went back to work 2 weeks early, right? She needs to feel like stay at home is less than- and because she is more than, she went back to work.
I do not agree with you though. I think she does value the work you do- in fact she knows that she could not handle the task. She is envious/jealous.
I tell my nanny all the time that I wish I had her job! So I am a jealous MB- just in another way!

I was telling her about one of the stay at home moms in my charge's music class. All the sudden she went off on this long tangent that it's not hard to raise a kid and that all stay at home moms are lazy. She also asked why I would want to take care of children because of how bored she was when she was on maternity leave. She even went back to work two weeks early. Then she proceeded to tell me uneducated people like to stay home because they can't do anything else. She also mentioned how she just doesn't respect the whole stay at home mom thing.. Um hello....I'm a nanny. That's all I do is raise your kid. I feel like she looks down on me because I'm a child care provider. I kind of felt slapped.
