This is why I've decided to quit being a nanny. I'm clearly no longer a good nanny. How do I go about leaving this job when all my experience is related to the nanny field?

Thanks everyone. I love being a nanny but I think all this stress and rejection is a sign. I've have still decided to leave. I'm facing the harsh reality that I may just not have what it takes to be a nanny anymore. It's the universes sign I guess.

Been there done that many 'o times OP.
If you truly love being a nanny, do not give up!!
However if the stress is wearing you down too much, since you have childcare experience and an obvious love for kids, you can also apply at a local daycare center, a home preschool and/or a summer camp program.

OP here. I'm actually currently pursuing a degree in the medical field. Being a nanny was my day job and helped me pay my way through school. I do really love it.

I've been unemployed in the past for up to 9 months. I do my best to keep my chin up. Just because your not getting a job really fast doesn't mean your a bad nanny. It just means the market is saturated. Can you work at a daycare? Open up an In home daycare?

I'm not a nanny (I posted asking about summer nannies). It sounds like you're making this decision because you're confidence is shaken since you're having a rough go of it. We all go through rough patches. A couple, I interviewed for a promotion 6 (six!!!) times before I got one. I was starting to question myself at that point, but I got the promotion and did a fantastic job and I now find myself in very high demand. If you love being a nanny and can't see yourself doing anything else, don't let this rough patch get you down. You've just hit a string of bad gigs. It happens to everyone, really, it does, but people just don't talk about it.
If you really want to move on, being a nanny has given you great skills that will set you up for success in a variety of careers. But don't worry. You've got this. It will happen for you.
