OP, give as much time as pay you can afford to lose. Too many idiotic parents fire their nannies when given notice. I would give no more thsn teo weeks.

Nonsense! No one ever has to wait for the employer to fill their vacant position before they leave in any field. A nanny need only give two weeks notice or fulfill whatever agreement was made in her contract.
