^ pp above. Adding that each time it took me well over a month - normally 2-3 I would say - to find a share family. You have to be persistent.

It will likely be hard out in setting I think. I imagine there are lots of SAHMs there plus nannies in general are used less than closer in.
I posted regularly on DCUM's nanny board and found all 4 families we have shared with through here. I also scanned DCUM listings by others to see if anyone was searching for a share. I even occasionally replied to a DCUM post if it was for a single nearby kid that was looking for their own nanny to see If they might be open to a share. I also did Craig's list postings in the childcare section.
When you live in neighborhoods where it is less common you cannot rely on your local list serve.

Are you on the neighborhood listserve? That's how most shares are formed.

Have been posting everywhere for over a month. Not single response other the scammers. Please post resources that can help us find another family to join our nanny share in Sterling, VA.
