We're doing scribble mugs made with sharpies. I put letter stickers on the mug spelling out "daddy" and let them go to town with the paint markers. Peel the stickers off and bake to set the design. Could be great for most ages. My charges are 2.5 and they loved it.

I think it would be a wonderful idea for you to do a craft/card for your charge's father.

Considering that there is no mother in the picture, if you don't take the initiative here, the children won't on their own.

You sound like a wonderful nanny to me.

My charge is 26mo. We made a card today, and back in April we painted a mug to match the one we made for Mother's Day. Last year it was handprint and footprint in white paint on raw wood canvases for MD/FD.

I usually create something for my charges to give to their mom/dad on these occasions. As they get older, they get really excited planning what to give.

I go on Pinterest and get a lot of my ideas from there. If you look for Father's Day crafts, a lot of ideas come up!

Nannies, are you and your charge doing anything for Father's Day - like a card or craft? Or did you for Mother's Day?

We did a birthday card for his birthday, so I didn't want to be repetitive. Charge is 1.4, 4 and 5 so they're capable of doing something with my assistance. There is no mother, so this is the first I've had to think about it.
