Why is this post showing ungratefulness? Other than the last comment, mothers put in more hours per week than the nanny. And, national caregivers month of November is really for everyone-- mothers, stay-at-home dads, nannies, grandparents.
Once I was a baby nurse for a newborn with older siblings. I was invited to join them during their holiday season. The 13 year old girl opened a gift and screamed to her parents, "I HATE it."
You simply remind me of that adolescent child.
Certain people always think they deserve better than what they have. Is that you, by any chance? You can be honest here.
Nannies asking for "love notes" and "caregiver appreciation day (not including moms)" remind me of kids making up extra birthdays so they can have extra presents. A level-minded person who sees things for what it is.
