Looking for a babysitter for my instructors children. Perfect for a teen/tween. There is a 10-month-old who needs watched M-F and then every other day it will switch between watching a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old. You'll always be watching the baby and one other kid, but it will switch kids everyday. $25/day. You can chose to watch them 2 days a week, 3 days a week, 4 days a week, or 5 days a week, it's up to you. The baby is a very happy baby, always wants to play but does take naps. The 6-year-old is self sufficient for the most part, the 4-year-old will watch cartoons all day. Must be watched at my instructors house. The hours will range from 10AM-5/5:30PM, sometimes earlier. I'm posting this for a friend, so contact me if you are interested and I will give you her number to contact her, Thank you.
Who you'll care for:
2 children
1 Child aged 7 months - 3 years, 1 Child aged 4 - 6 years
We're looking for:
Meal Preparation

I read this and started laughing. Who would want a tween watching an infant?! And why would anyone expect a tween or teen to spend 7+ hours a day with these kids for only $25/day?

Best part is how they sell the 4 year old being a TV zombie as a plus.

Well, to tween or teen that might be a good thing. I was just floored when read it, then they contacted a friend of mine and wanted her to work it, because the moms of tweens weren't willing to drive the kids around and the tweens wanted more than $25/day. AS if an adult would cost less than a child.

These kind of people need to accept that they can't afford or don't want to pay a nanny. The purpose of a nanny Is that you get top dollar care that doesn't come with daycare centers. What good nanny with experience would want this job or do a good job?

These type of situations call for in home daycare providers smh

I feel so sorry for that poor little baby as well. Why would any parent want an inexperienced, uneducated and undocumented worker to be in charge of their infant's health and welfare?

I pray it was a misprint and they meant $1200 a week.

It's probably also off the books, which makes it even more desirable to someone illegal.

I feel so very sorry for that poor baby. No one with a once of integrity and experience is going to accept a job at $6.00 an hour.

What the family is doing is putting up the monthly amount vs. the hourly/weekly one because once people take in that they will make over a grand a month, it gets them excited vs. knowing the job only offers up five dollars per hr.

Also, the family is trying to sweeten the pot by stating that the prospective nanny will get holidays off too.

Overall, the job sounds like a cheap one, cheap pay, yet the nanny is expected to do some cleaning, laundry and cooking.

I wouldn't even write this family back. And I pity the person who would accept such low pay for so much responsibility.

I also pity the baby who most likely will be left in the hands of someone w/not much experience or education.
Perhaps someone not even legal to work in this country or underage.

These were my exact thoughts when I came across the posting.

Isn't that 9.5 hours a day? Five days a week? How does that add up to 35-40 hours per week?

I wondered that too.
