Good grief, you offered exactly ZERO solutions or advice but you had the presence of mind to attack someone who actually had something helpful to say? Nice. No where in that post did it say OP must say and do exactly that thing word for word. Presumably OP is smart enough to know if she needs to leave tonight, she'll leave tongiht, but if she can crash somewhere (even her employers) for two week or a summer or whatever, then she can do that too. Grow up, it was a SUGGESTION OF SOMETHING TO SAY SINCE OP WANTED TO KNOW WHAT TO SAY!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I'd be honest with them though definitely gloss over the part about him being violent. You ABSOLUTELY need to look out for your safety and the safety of your employers which is sounds like you're doing. I would say something like "Things with James and I have gotten tense lately and we've decided to part ways. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to secure affordable housing here on Nantucket, so I'm forced to move back to Puddleville for the time being. I'm so sorry this is how it has to be because I've really enjoyed working with you and the children. My last day will be June 21."
You need to prepare yourself that they may offer to let you crash there for the summer and you need to know going in whether you would accept that proposal. You also need to know going in that they might just put the kids in daycare tomorrow. Anything can happen.
Take care of yourself and whatever you do, DO NOT GO BACK TO A VIOLENT MAN.
Where is she going to stay for two weeks? Stay with her abusive and violent boyfriend for another two weeks just so she can not be rude? Smart.
