Take the week they are on vacation and find a new job. Then give 2 weeks notice.
Don't burn bridges- you can put up with anything for 2 weeks. Just try to minimize contact with them.
I've have problem bosses and problem employees that I've put up with for 6+ months.

Would you like to have those problem bosses/employers in your home every day? Would you tolerate it if they were your only other co-worker? Doubtful.

I totally agree. That's the moral and ethical high ground.

Is this responder for real....??!!

OP, if your bosses are treating you so bad, you should leave now. You do not have to take another minute of mistreatment from them.

Sure, they will be left high and dry w/out proper childcare, but that is completely their fault. Not yours.

Had they treated you with the respect that EVERY nanny deserves, then they wouldn't have to deal with all of this.

I say after you receive your last check, give them your walking papers. Stat.

Then the MB should try treating her nannies with courtesy and respect. I'd bet a considerable amount of $$$$ that OP is just one of many nannies who have left with short notice. You owe her nothing, OP.

Do what's best for you. Most families will fire you on the spot if it isn't working out for them. Look out for yourself.

Quit, OP. Do it calmly and professionally but get the hell out of there. Life is too short to be working for assh**es.

Leave if that's what you need to do to maintain your sanity. IT will be ok in the end, even if they're really really pissed off.

Just quit. Never, and I mean never, stay in a job you hate. No amount of money is worth it. Give her/him/it your notice, making it effective immediately. Good luck.

I think your opinion will be clear when you give one week's notice right before their vacation.

I want to quit today, I would essentially be giving them 1 weeks notice and then they are vacationing for 1 week.
I usually give at least 3 weeks.
I seriously hate one of my bosses and can't fathom working for it/she/him another freaking second.
