I wear business attire for an in-person attire, business casual for skype interviews. I don't play with children during interviews, but I have done a supervised playtime the following day and I wear my typical clothing (I wear long skirts 5/7 days a week, and I'm fully capable of running around after kids, crawling on the floor, climbing ladders).

I would not hire someone wearing a long skirt. That person is probably too conservative to work with our family.

? Everyone was wearing long skirts last summer! It was the fashion - not a religious observance! LOL!

I would be concerned that she could not chase young kids or get down and play with them. I'm not concerned about fashion as much as function.

Well, it was an interview and I got the job (and still have it) so clearly not everyone thinks as you do.

No perfume, I'd wear pants so you can interact better - nice pants, nice top and sandals or good shoes. I'd keep jewelry at the minimum too.
