Yes! Of course you should bring it up. Tell them you're noticing roaches everywhere, and how many you've had to kill. If they don't get the hint that this is grossing you out and is unhealthy and call an exterminator, then Id consider quitting. Most families will get pests that you mention taken care of right away. I've had to mention mice and ants before, and the families always appreciate me telling them.

You're right, these little pests proliferate quickly and if you bring just one little tiny (invisible!) egg on your person home, then that egg can give you a whole sh%#load of them in your home.

I would specifically ask them to spray for them. Let them know that you are just concerned about bringing one of their eggs into your own home.

If they refuse or get snooty about it, then they are most definitely not the right family to work for. In many ways than one.

Tell them to take care of it and if they don't quit. You don't want one of those suckers getting into your stuff and you accidentally bringing them home.

Defintely let them know so they can have a treatment(s) done. Also, if they live in an attached home, like a townhouse or row house, they could be getting in from another house, so it doesn't necessarily mean that your NF is filthy. To protect your home, I would not bring large bags into the house -- bring a small purse and leave what you can in your car, if you drive.

I have no idea what type they are, I only know they're roaches because I worked in a filthy bar that had them. I don't think it's a cleanliness issue necessarily but there's clearly an infestation and it just grosses me out.

Yes, absolutely bring it up. If you're seeing them in the middle of the day when you're there, that means it's an infestation. They need to lay out baits now. Grossness aside, it's really bad for the baby to breathe in roach dust.

literally, cockroaches. NF has them and it is grossing me out. I don't want to kill them but of course I do since I am here, but is this something I can legitimately bring up? the only reason is that its ROACHES. they get in shoes and bags and lay eggs and I don't want to bring a roach problem home with me. help!!!!
