Any way you look at it, the parents hired a caregiver with her own baby; the caregivers baby is fine, and the other baby is now dead.

If someone is going to lose their shit and kill a child the fact that they have their own have no bearing.

I have to tell you...a child is far more.likely to be killed by their own mother or father than a babysitter.

Well, when my child was little, I brought him to work with me. And no discount was asked for. That job in fact found me through an agency.

Maybe. I just see mounting evidence against using nannies with their own kids in tow. I've seen it one too many times at the playground when a woman who is clearly watching two kids, one of which is her own, she always favors her own child in an unfair way. It irks me; parents think they're getting a great deal on a nanny but they don't realize how their child suffers as a result (perhaps not until it's too late, like in this particular case).

Interesting...he was in the care of a "babysitter" who was also watching her own 10 month old (and possibly also 10 year old? Though perhaps she was in school at the time of injury). Regardless, to me this is just another, very very sad, case of a caregiver favoring her own child at the expense of the one she's being paid to care for. Very sad
