There are known trolls on this forum. One, and one of the worst, was a nanny that Jeff has since banned. It doesn't matter iF the trolls are parents or nannies, they make stuff up to get people all riled up. I rarely visit this forum anymore because it is rarely constructive or useful.

It is only the trolls on this forum who have contempt for nannies and I doubt any of those lonely souls have ever been a nanny, had a nanny or employed a nanny.


I have co-worker who proudly proclaims that she would get rid of her husband long before she would get rid of her nanny.

I know that I truly love our nanny and could not be happier with her work. And my daughter adores her.

I think - and I might be wrong - that OP was talking about the "being a nanny isn't a real job" and "you are the hired help" posts on this forum. I cannot imagine they come from mothers who employ nannies. Why would anyone with such contempt for a nanny have a nanny care for their children 40 to 50 hours a week?

Nonsense. The nannies on this site are actually more critical of other nannies as we are the ones who actually SEE the bad nannies day in and day out. While a nanny may be on her best behavior when she is with her MB, the other nannies see her at the park, library, classes, playground and KNOW how many nannies suck.


+ 1,000,000. No one, especially nannies, are expecting "blind praise".

I don't actually agree that contempt for one means contempt for the other. However I do agree that mothers do not feel that nannying is not a real job.

And I agree with every word of the 13:16.

I don't know how my nanny does her job - she's amazing and we're blessed to be able to afford her expertise.
