weird. maybe it is just my agent then. Let me call again - I haven't bought the 800$ policy yet because I can't stomach the loss.

OP here. State farm no longer offers this. He is going to get me a quote from the national compensation fund, but we are looking at, according to our agent 800 a year.

I had to buy it through the state in MD. Here in Georgia, I'm paying an arm and a leg for it -- my insurance won't cover it either.

good luck finding HO's that covers WC. We had enough trouble just finding an insurer (outside of a combined p/r service) to offer it to a HH employer.

So it's unemployment insurance we pay to dc. We don't have workers comp insurance though we are required too. How did I not know this?! I'll call my homeowners insurance company tomorrow.

In DC. We pay on the books and pay DC money for workers comp (no choice in this - it is part of our taxes). is this the same as workers comp insurance?
