Because the first thing you told me was that you were going to let your 2 1/2 year old choose who gets the job.

Because you still stuck with that method even though you said you've been through "about 7" nannies.

Because you said you were certain that you thought the last nanny was going to kidnap your child.

Because during the whole interview you wouldn't stop talking about how organized and perfect you must keep the kids' toys.

Because you said you'd pay whatever I wanted simply because you "believe in karma." (Tempting at first, until I realized how disconnected from reality that really is.)

Your DH was rude borderline racist.

After confirming my rate multiple times you tried to get
yourself a $5 discount after I gave you the bottom end of my range.

Your DD kept asking how she could hurt me.

Your house was way far out in the boondocks.

-you tried to convince me that I was an independent contractor
-you asked me very nosy personal questions that had nothing to do with the job
-you didn't laugh or smile once
-you misrepresented your position/pay range
-your kid is a brat
-you were condescending or said something verging on racist about the candidates with less than perfect English
-your home was too small, cluttered, or dirty for me to be comfortable

My previous boss told me you called her and were a complete PITA. You asked her how much cleaning I was willing to do and whether or not she thought I'd "throw it in for free since she charges so much." It was $20/hour for 3 kids. I have 10 years of experience, certifications and a Master's degree.

You exhibited some of the most blatant examples of favoritism I've ever seen.

You coddled your 4-year-old DD throughout the entire interview. If she asked for juice you'd stop in your tracks and get her juice. 7-year-old DD interrupts once and you snap at her.

You go as far as to tell me your youngest DD is just like you while your oldest DD "looks and acts just like her father unfortunately".

You then act shocked when you mention to me that she wants to go live with her father.

I cried for your kid, I should have called you out but know it would have gotten me booted from my agency,

You wante me to change diapers in the kitchen.

Because you wanted to pay me $12 for 4 kids (plus 3 dogs and 2 cats with one of the dogs being 210 lbs.)

Because you had 3 dogs, three cats, a bird, and backyard chickens who crap everywhere in the yard plus you don't want me leaving the house with the baby. Are you kidding me?

Or because you want me to put your 2 ys old down for a nap with a bottle of chocolate milk and let him snack on fruit loops all day. If course he acts like a wild animal.
