Perhaps give her a nice monetary gift as a token of your gratitude.

Have the kids make a homemade card and some baked goods if possible.

We gave a large cash bonus, went out to dinner and made a big photo book. But she had been with us for over 8 years -- she was (and still is) part of the family!

Most have taken me out to dinner and given me a small gift. However I'm a live in nanny so that might make a difference.

When we hit this point we'll definitely do something.

I think we'd probably take the afternoon off or something and all go out for a nice dinner, or some fun outing, get her a gift, etc...

And I'd line up something so we could all see each other sometime soon.

We are moving on to another child care situation but leaving on good terms. Anything we should do on the last day beyond her final paycheck and a thank you?
