what behaviors are you talking about? it sounds like she is otherwise an amazing nanny so if you are speaking about something superficial I would not let her go

No, there is nothing you can do to change her. Spend more time with your children and they will model your behavior more than their nannies.

Nobody is perfect, and it sounds like you're the kind of person that might understand that. If you were to let her go for being socially awkward, the next nanny you find would have a different "quirk." Be glad you have her - socially awkward people are generally very sweet and kind at heart.

What type of weird quirks are you talking about? How old are your twins now? If they are old enough, enroll them in two mornings/week preschool to help with socialization. If they aren't that old yet, try other class like gymboree, a music class or even reading time at the library.

We've had our nanny since our twins were 3 months old. She stood out from the 20 odd nannies we interviewed. She's super energetic, smart as a whip and great with our children. We also suspect she has Aspergers but never asked, so not 100% sure. Her personality was once endearing but now a bit worrisome now that DC are two and beginning to pick up a lot of her quirks. We know autism isn't a learnt behavior but fear they aren't being properly socialized with her. Letting her go is not an option, but wondering if anyone had ideas on how to help all three on their socialization skills?
