Oh, I never thought about that - good point. However, I doubt it would be an issue. I have been working for them part-time since the baby was born (three months ago) and they live in the neighborhood. I met their parents.

Weird... it never once occurred to me that they could stiff me.

I've never known a nanny paid this way. In my experience it's been either weekly or biweekly.

I get paid once a month. not so bad.. any extra hours (never happens) either get sent to me or added to next month depending on when the hours were

I get paid legally once a week direct deposit through a payroll co. I wouldn't turn down an otherwise good job, but i def prefer weekly or bi monthly payments.

I used to get paid monthly when I still lived in Germany. They do that over there. Haven't heard that being done over here.

My new employer asked to pay me monthly (legally, with a payroll service, direct deposit). I'm fine with it but have never been paid on a monthly basis before in any job. Wondering if this is unusual.
