Yes, I think that sounds perfect.

It sounds to me like you have planned this whole thing out very effectively and thought everything out.

Good luck and I hope it all runs smoothly.

Yeah, just give your notice to the father, or whomever relieved you. Big whoop.

I'll never understand parents who don't interact with their nannies regularly - how exactly does that work??

It works like this: I leave at 7:15 in the morning. DH leaves around 8:30am, after the nanny arrives. He gets home at 5 or 5:30, and I get home around 7 or 7:30. So I never interact with the nanny. DH does.

Well any nanny who gives notice and quits doesn't deserve a job, I'd fire her too.

You seem completely rational.

You seem like the same troll who wrote the response you are commenting on. It's your syntax and grammar.

I barely get a chance to talk to MB, And she rarely answers the phone, returns calls or responds to text messages. I need to give notice today, I plan to talk to her if she's home and send a predrafted email with all the details spelled out after our conversation.

Would it be okay to text her and ask if she'd be home this evening so we can have a chance to chat? I want to make sure I can give notice in person.
