I enjoy my bosses' parents as well! I work with expat families in my home country so most of the visiting relatives are always very interested in the life their children built here, ask about our culture and customs and compliment me on my English, haha, and everybody I've met I liked or at least didn't dislike.

I stayed with one of the grandmothers when I visited her country and we had a blast. I found out where my MB got her potty mouth.

Love both my boss's parents (both sides live out of state) but I get so much time off and they are very respectful!

This is such a great thread!

I love my nanny family's family! They treat me so well, we always have tons to talk about and catch up on. They all hug me and tell me how much they appreciate the work that I do for and with the kids. None of them got me Christmas gifts but I'd never expect that. The biggest bonus with them being there is half days and sometimes full days off. Paid of course.

Only awkwardness is when they ask if I am married yet, seeing anyone etc or when I want kinds of my own.

I guess it's a small price to pay in exchange for having 1/2 days all week.

Anyone else like their NF's extended family?

I love every single one of them. They treat me with nothing but kindness and respect. They even seem genuinely interested in my life.
I appreciate it because I've experienced some grandmas from hell.
My DB's mom actually came by today to drop off a belated Chtistmas gift for me.
She gave me a $100 Sephora card because she said she notices that I use a really good hand cream. She said she wanted to make sure that my hands stay soft after all the diapers I change for her grandson. Nicest lady ever.
It definitely adds to my enjoyment of the job.
