No, because that is the reality of working in an open office layout.

I don't expect my nanny to do my dishes. Just stack them by the sink while you are doing the kid's dishes. Then put them back in the sink.

"Dear nanny, I noticed today you washed my coffee cup. Kind of creepy. Wish you hadn't done that."

You should be able to prep a kid's lunch without cleaning dishes in the sink.

Because working from home is the bomb. You get more done and all in comfort and privacy. Take a single office job and you'll understand.

Meanwhile, sorry to hear you're having a tough day. It is always unpleasant for us nannies when a solid routine is disrupted.

I've done both working with parents who leave for work and those that stay home. I will say when the parents who typically leave decide to stay it is awful, ruins the day. But with work at home parents we already have a routine and it runs smoothly. Children know what to expect it that situation and they are relaxed. Having a parent home just randomly is very upsetting to child and nanny as they are confused, upset and on edge

My DB works from home 4 out of 5 days a week, it's not a big deal. It's nice knowing he's there. Don't see why this is a problem for you.

What about when the MB comes in and "just wants a hug" and the charge screams for the nanny? Yeah, good times... Every time my charges react negatively to their mother's presence during the day I think, "There goes my job".

I also love the "Can you keep it down?" comments. I want to say, "Can you go back to your office?"

My sympathies, Nanny. I hate when either of my charge's parents decided to work from home. It stops their child from having fun when the child has to play quietly all day.
