Long story short ------> My car suddenly broke down on me and now it doesn't run at all. It's virtually useless at this point and I have no transportation.
I live in Southern CA so I cannot depend on public transportation
at all.
Anyway, my mechanic's shop won't open until early Monday morning and I have no idea what the problem is. It could be a small mechanical issue (

) or it could be something major (

). I don't know a thing about cars, but my car is a '99 and is old so while I am hoping for the best, I also am expecting the worst.
I texted my boss this evening and told her my dilemma and told her I won't be able to come in at least Mon and Tue of next week. (Thankfully I already have Wed/Thu/Fri already off for the holiday week.)
She knows as a nanny I do not make very much and I told her that I was keeping my fingers crossed that it was something minor, but that my car wasn't even functioning so I was in limbo.
She told me she was sorry and to keep her abreast of any new developments. Then she ended her text with these exact words:
If you need any help at all, please do not hesitate to ask. Then she recommended her family mechanic and wished me luck.
I did some thinking and was wondering what type of help she was offering.
Meaning, do you think she would consider loaning me some money to pay for repairing my car if I would pay her back if it turns out to be a major repair? Or maybe she meant just help with transportation?
What do you all think? Thanks everyone!!~
