I am an occasional babysitter for a six year old girl, I used to be her full time nanny until she started Kinder this Fall.
Her parents are pretty laid back and casual and I have always had a good relationship with them. Our chemistry is good and I am pretty casual like them. They never treated me like the "hired help" or like I was beneath them, they have always treated me more like a peer which has been pretty cool.
Anyway, the father and I have always gotten along pretty well and on occasion when we part ways, he tends to give me a hug good-bye, but so does the mother and they both do this in front of each other, no problem. And it has never made me uncomfortable because I am a hugger.
Last Friday evening, I came over to babysit the daughter and brought her a Christmas gift. She unwrapped it and loved it and excitedly began playing with it in the living area. The mother was still in the back bedroom getting dressed and he came out first and the daughter showed the toy to him and said I gave it to her. This was the first time I had given her a gift before and he came over to me and said to me, "Oh ______, thank you so much, that was
really really sweet of you to do for Ashely..." and then he not only hugged me, but then he rubbed my back for sec. What made me uncomfortable was that I was wearing a light blouse and when he rubbed my back, he rubbed the part where my bra hook was and he rubbed it about a few secs and I
know for sure he could feel my bra which made me feel creepy. Plus, his wife wasn't in the room when he did it.
I said to him, "Oh you're welcome," but couldn't look him in the eye after that.
He's never made a move on me before or after that and he acted completely normal and the same the rest of the night so perhaps I am just overreacting here.....??
