I'm perplexed now too.

The kids are using this crazy new thing called Google. You should look into it! It's a way to search for any piece of information on the Internet.
Perhaps you should start there before making an idiot of yourself.

I don't need to google this because I work in an office with some 60 people and no one in yawning and falling asleep by 2:00 pm. If someone I knew were I would suggest they go to the doctor.

If I were you I would try to hear what he is telling you and I would up your game if you will. No more yawning around him ever and be more active especially in his presence.

The afternoon energy slump is a real thing that most people experience everyday.
This is the reason that so many businesses in Europe are closed in the afternoon. It gives their employees the opportunity to rest.
I provided a link...btw, why so grouchy?

New poster here. It's actually quite normal.

You perplex me with your confusion.

Maybe you looked really tired today, maybe you seemed out of it, Etc. Honestly if you've been working for them for 10 years it kind of sounds like you're making a big deal out of nothing. DB said something stupid once, get over it. It happens to all of us.

What a thoughtless comment from a clueless idiot.

I yawn a lot...So what....??!

People yawn. So do my cats. It's life.

Doesn't mean a damn thing.

I would just tell him smartly that I do get enough sleep thank you very much and that I was simply yawning because being I didn't expect to be in his presence so early that day and for some unknown reason, his presence that day triggered a yawn from me.

Because a yawn screams "irresponsible caregiver."

He never has, which is why I'm perplexed.

I think you are tired and taking this way to personally. Maybe a nap or coffee will help you calm down and realize how insignificant his comment is.

I have been a professional nanny for over 10 years. I love my current nanny family but had a strange experience today.
MB and DB both work out of the home. DB came home today around 2:00, which is very rare.
Everyday at about 2:00-2:30, I hit the mid-day slump. I feel a bit tired and yawn adhere and there. A cup of coffee usually takes care of this. It never affects the way I do my job.
I was under the impression that most human's tend to get tired around this time of day.
While I was playing with my charge on the floor, I yawned. DB said "I'd really like you to get more sleep, so you aren't so tired at work."
I was absolutely flabbergasted. I get at least 8 hours of sleep per night and healthy as a horse. I feel great and and have ample energy throughout the day.
It pisses me off to know that I bust my hump everyday and he decided to form an opinion on how much sleep I need every night based on witnessing me yawn one time. They don't have nanny cams.
I gently explained that I am high energy all day long, except for around 2:00 until I have a cup of coffee or tea.
Am I wrong to be annoyed?
Does anyone else get tired mid-day?
