You haven't answered the question about the age of the child - which is highly relevant not only for reliability of anything the child might tell, but also to the number of caregivers/babysitters a kid might have known over the course of years.
If you spent time w/ my kids (under 5) you might hear of as many as 5-8 different women who have spent time with them. Babysitters, mother's helpers, fill-in nanny for several weeks (and emergency coverage) for their regular nanny, etc... In reality we've had the same nanny for 4+ years, but that doesn't mean she's the only adult who watches our kids.
If you have concerns or questions then talk to your employers.

Honestly sounds like you aren't sure if this position is right for you.
If your bosses have a history of letting nannies go suddenly and without cause it doesn't matter if you go on the trip or not they could just as easily replace you if you stay.
