Op here
Would this be considered pushy?

" know anyone needing an infant nanny?
I am available full or part time? "

I don't think it's tacky if you post something like 'Hey all, I'm looking for a nannying job. Anyone know somebody looking for a nanny?'. Tacky would be listing your entire resume and salary expectations. I also don't think that it is out of line to reach out to MBs who you've got friended (presumably because your relationship developed to something more than just employer/employee and they're not averse to helping you out) or nanny friends in a private message saying that you're looking for a job and if they might know of someone looking. Again, as long as you're posing the question with the least amount of pressure, hey it's no big deal type of thing, I don't think it's tacky. Neither is it creative, of course, but it can definitely be useful. Good luck.

However, I would reach out to the moms and nannies you know to see if they know of anyone looking for a nanny.

I thought about messaging them direct, but thought it might come across as pushy or that I was pressuring them

That depends on how you word it.
If you post it as a status, you have no guarantee they will see it. I don't see every status every friend of mine posts.

Sure I don't see why not.

Facebook can be a great way of networking.

Just make sure you do not have anything suggestive on your profile page.

Why? Are you friends with potential MBs? Are you close friends with lots of other nannies?

Should I mention on Facebook I'm looking for a nanny position?
