It's cute that you think this.

You honestly think guys gossip like women?

Yes they can. I had a male co nanny in my last position. He was the worst in the entire household (4 nannies, 1 chef, 2 housekeepers, 1 Laundress, 1 house manager and a driver/handyman) as far as gossip and backstabbing people. He was also really lazy and basically did the bare minimum to get by.

Basically like every nanny I see at the park. If I ever see an adult really playing with a kid on the playground, up on the equipment, chasing, etc it's a guy (nanny or dad, I don't know). That is why I decided to find a guy. I'm tired of paying $20 an hour for someone to walk my kids to the park and then sit for 2 hours while they play with others.

How old are your kids? I always think it's weird when parents are up on the equipment with school age kids etc, because shouldn't their kids know how to navigate the social scene of a playground without a parent holding their hand?

Good, do that. Much more relevant than the poster pretending everyone here is a millionaire in the British caste system running a household of servants.

Can we get some examples?

Forget the examples, can I get that level of staff to support me?!

The one we hired actually had zero prior experience nannying. He's great anyway.

You do have to search and check references. The market is saturated with under qualified nannies both male and female.

There may be a high percentage of under qualified male nannies but there is hardly any saturation. Even including all the bad ones I'm not finding many profiles at all.

I know it's been asked before if it's a good idea, but I am already set on it. I only find myself having trouble actually finding male candidates. Does anyone know where to look or how to post a job that will get their attention? care.com has a lot of candidates but most don't seem that great, have negligible experience, or don't reply anyways. Ideas?
