But if she didn't start until Tuesday, I don't think you need to pay her.as a nanny, I'd feel weird about getting paid for a day before I started the job.

I say pay her, it may or may no show in her work, but she I'll notice she wasn't paid and probably think your pretty cheap...

I know in the past working for super cheap employers really effects our relationship.

This. Also, it won't be much money for you but it'll probably go a long way in showing your nanny you are a generous employer. And with a few exceptions, if you're treating your nanny right she will reciprocate.


You're treating the nanny right if you pay her from her start date. Tuesday.

This. Also, it won't be much money for you but it'll probably go a long way in showing your nanny you are a generous employer. And with a few exceptions, if you're treating your nanny right she will reciprocate.
