MB here. This would not be ok with me at all. I can see how the nanny meant no harm, but it's - at best - a VERY bad idea.

Personally I would say something to the nanny, the group admin, and the mom.

Mommy bloggers have been losing their shit lately because FB and Instagram are cracking down on nude child pics. If you haven't yet please do report it to FB too - paedophiles really do pass around seemingly innocent snaps of partially or fully nude kids for nefarious reasons. Can you imagine in 15 years her parents getting a visit from the FBI explaining their daughter's naked photo was found in the seized files of a child predator? The damage it does to your psyche knowing that picture will always be out there for other people to use any way they want? Step up and stop prevaricating.

OP here: is it the NL group? I'm newer to the group so don't know as many of the girls as she probably does so I'm at a standstill of what to do. I've talked to two other girls in the group and they think one of us should send the pic to her boss. I've already screen shot it so I have the proof if I do go forward with it. As far as knowing if she has permission, I don't know. But even if she has permission to post pics of the kid, I doubt that includes fully naked pics of an infant. It's just not okay.

OP here: there are about 60 people in the group and they are nannies from all over the country and out of the country. So while it is a smaller group then some of the other FB nanny groups that have 1,000+ people, you still don't know everyone in it personally! I'm just appalled that she would post a picture like this and think it was okay to do so. It's a full on frontal naked picture of this innocent baby and I know if I were a parent and knew my nanny did this, id be fuming mad. I really think the mom should know about this but I don't want to overstep any boundaries.

even with permission a place like a facebook group anyone can get those pictures you don't know who is a member.

I can say any parent I work for would feel the same.

It's in our nanny contract that the nanny is not allowed to post ANY pics of our kid to social media or send/show them to anyone but us.

If your nanny had posted a completely naked picture of your baby on the internet, would you want to know? I am part of a "secret" nanny group on FB and one of the girls in the group posted a completely naked picture of the 2 month old little girl that she watches in the group. Apparently she had a blow out diaper and she had just given her a bath so she posted this picture of her butt naked with the caption "I trust all of you guys in this group with a naked pic of my babes". I saw it and was appalled because I would NEVER post a naked picture of one of the kids I watch. I don't even post ANY pictures of them online at all. So if you were a MB, would you want to know about this? I know her MB's first and last name and what city she lives in so I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for me to look her up and tell her about this but I'm conflicted. Thoughts?
