Now regarding maybe severance or you quitting and not giving notice I'm not sure how they hold up in court. But let's really hope you don't have to go to court. I mean if they threaten to sue you for quitting and not giving a month notice just don't show up or show up at 8 pm. They will fire you and then they can't sue right .

I think work agreements/contracts, etc. are just
tangible outlines to spell out general things for both sides so no one gets confused.
But as for holding up in a court of law.
I watch "Judge Judy" often and have never seen a case against a Nanny vs. a Former Employer. Come to think of it, I have never seen anyone sue an employer for terminated them nor have I seen an employer sue an employee for walking away from a job.
Reason being is that here in America it is understood that this is an "at will" work country.
