Well I think the issue is OP does not officially start until September 1st. The only reason she did the trial period now was because they are going away. If you signed the contract knowing you started September 1, I don't understand the issue of not being paid for the week before you officially start. I mean, your start date is sept 1, which you knew. So I would assume you would have budgeted your money around this?
