Meh. I find this particular practice a little silly/strange, but a lot of people do it so that the people they're tagging will see the photos. Sometimes people also tag photos taken when the person tagged was with them, but not in the photo (which is a little less weird, but still kind of odd).

some people tag people as a way to alert them to the picture.

Sounds like this is what is going on here, the family wants to make sure nanny sees the picture of the kids. Why does this bother you OP? And, really, if you are neither the nanny or the MB, why do you even care?

This, obviously. She wants to be sure the nanny has a chance to see the photo. She can always untag herself. Wtf is it to you anyway?

Very odd IMO. I would also think it odd if any other family member was tagged in a similar way. Only if there was some sort of connection to the nanny/family member would I not think this was odd. Something like "Larlo kept calling this Nanny's Playground since you took him here last time! Too funny!"

My MB tags me sometimes, I guess so that's I'd definitely see my charges do something extra adorable, or during their vacations or the summer when I don't look after them. I look at the photo, smile, like or comment or neither, and untag myself. What's the big deal?

People also often tag those who were in the room when the photo was taken, so chances are the nanny was there or even took the picture herself?

So just untag yourself.

Try again dear, and next time actually read the post before you comment.

It's her way of sharing and being inclusive.

Butt out with your judgment.

My previous MBs tag me in cute pictures of their kids, I don't think it's weird. I think it's weird to put photos of your children all over social media, but the fact that the mom does that isn't over the top, imo.

MB tags nanny in facebook photos of the kid, that nanny is not even in. I mean, I know she wants to consider the nanny part of the family and all but it seems weird.

I am neither MB nor nanny, just an observer.
