Don't overthink it - especially if the new nanny already is known to your child. I'd be at home the first day, perhaps a bit of the second, and that's it.
Your child is likely far more resilient than you realize (assuming nothing traumatic has happened and her schedule is consistent throughout.) Don't project your nervousness onto your child.
I've just been through a very turbulent 6 week period w/ caregivers for my 2 1/2 yr old twins and I was so pleasantly surprised by their resiliency and ability to weather the changes.
