TB test results and current vaccinations updated.

Any CPR/First Aid certifications as well as any Swimming certifications if swimming will be involved in the position.

Also, any Educational Degrees from College as well as any College transcripts.

If driving will be involved, a copy of my current driving license, driving record/printout from the DMV as well as current registration/insurance card.

Hard copies of any recent background checks/Police Dept. record checks.

Resume and business card. I used to have a portfolio but found out was awkward and weird to whip that out and most people simply weren't interested.

- A list of age appropriate local activities, groups, and field trips

Everything is typed and organized in a folder with loose leaf and a pen for note-taking.

I would show you the door if you attempted to record our interview. That's the point of the contract.

After 20 years of teaching and nannying, I bring a photo album of awesome activities I've done with children, and loving thank you notes from parents and children. After looking it, it's very clear what kind of a teacher and nanny I am.

I usually hand the binder over to the dad during the interview while I answer the mom's interview questions. I find that mothers want to get to know me better as a caregiver and how I would interact with her kid, while dads like to see concrete evidence of my training and experience, and they are usually impressed with the professional presentation.

It may seem like overkill to some, but I am young and I have a bit of an accent, so I do what I can to show that I am a true professional and I'm not going to fall into any stereotypes they may have about people my age and with my background.

I always take a photo album with pictures of past and present kids. They always tell me how much they appreciate seeing the little ones
doing all types of activities, as well as just having fun. If I am being interviewed for a shared care situation my pictures will show babies
that are in share care.

Wondering what other nannies do, and if there's anything I can add to my list. I always bring the following:

- Hard copy of my resume for the family to reference during our interview (this includes my references)
- My business card so they can have my phone number/email address handy
- List of my questions/things to discuss
- Document with all the information about the family I've already gathered from the job posting to our emails and phone interview

Always have everything typed up and printed out and in a nice plastic folder with a pen to take notes. What else do you all include?
